I created "the Best New Thing" for a variety of reasons. Living in a rural area makes commuting to a daily job a daunting task. However, my primary motivation is my passion for creating and sharing unique gifts that people will truly treasure.

I am completely a country farm girl who loves the outdoors, rides horses, and enjoys camping. I have no problem getting dirty and working hard. Many would consider me a bit of a tomboy!

My husband and I have a diverse herd of beef cattle that includes a mix of black and red Angus, along with a few Charolais cows. As farmers and ranchers, we understand the hard work and challenges that come with owning a farm.

I launched my first online store about six years ago and discovered that it required a lot of hard work, dedication, and a team to compete with the numerous online competitors.

I started 'The Best New Thing' in 2024 to offer unique custom design products. My goal is for customers to experience amusement, joy, and inspiration.
